Dear IAPHL Members,

I hope that this May letter finds you all in good health.  Although there has been some good news in some of our countries as they battle the Covid-19 pandemic, it is clear that many countries are still facing major crises.  We wish those who are still battling what can seem to be an overwhelming challenge, all the best.

Our consultant group, ThinkPlace, continues their work to conduct a human centered design assessment to determine your capacity building and professional growth needs.  They have been interviewing members and talking to our country chapter leaders. If you are interested in participating, you can schedule an interview here. They have held one focus group discussion so far with our friends in Zimbabwe.  For those of you, who have signed up for an interview, do try to be available on the agreed upon date and time.

Thank you to those members who have made submissions to the funny and/or interesting factoids that we have learned working in Public Health Supply Chain.  I am sure there are more interesting experiences to share, so do share!

The competition to win IAPHL swag is still on. So if you always wanted an IAPHL T-shirt, and who doesn’t, share your experiences and start a good discussion soon.  We need more of our community of practice talking to all of us.

Finally, I hope that many of our members are taking advantage of all of the webinars and training offerings that we advertise through our listserv. I have taken advantage of them myself.  Many organizations see IAPHL’s reach to our ever-growing membership around the world as a key way in which to promote their supply chain related webinars and conferences.  Again, if you have a great idea for a webinar you would like to see, please let us know.

Hoping that you all are staying safe,

Walter
