Our December moderated discussion will focus on how geography can strengthen the analysis of supply chains. Logistics information systems and geographic information systems (GIS) can work in harmony to expand the value of using logistics data for logisticians and other key stakeholders in making supply chain decisions from designing a system to the day-to-day operational management of one. This online forum will discuss the effective use of GIS within the supply chain context. The discussion will focus on issues such as; how to link logistics data to GIS data, geo-spatial analysis techniques suitable for logistics data, and other practical data uses of GIS.
