The 7th annual Global Health Supply Chain Summit will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark on November 17-19, 2014. The summit will focus on transforming global health supply chains, covering in particular incentive alignment, outsourcing partnerships and performance measurement. It will assemble a collection of practitioners and experts in the field to explore these topics: academics, country planners, NGOs, logistics practitioners, pharmaceutical industry and donor representatives.

The schedule includes two days of presentations and discussions and one day of training focusing on relevant best practice tools in supply chain management.  Attendees will thus get access to both best practice results as well as “how-to” ideas for implementation in their respective contexts.

IAPHL will be making a presentation at the summit, participating in a panel discussion about supply chain management professionalization, and sponsoring 8 IAPHL members to attend the summit. Sponsored participants were chosen at random from those who applied for the scholarship. We look forward to learning more from our colleagues who were able to attend this conference about supply chain best practices and lessons learned from the conference.
