The Association for Operations Management (APICS) and the Supply Chain Council (SCC) have recently announced that the boards of directors of both organizations approved an agreement under which the two, both leaders in the supply chain management and operations field, will merge pending a ratification vote by members. This combination will create a new global leader in supply chain solutions.
