Over decades pharmacists have provided medicines and clinical services to people. To date, this continues to be the main role of pharmacists. However, in low and middle income countries, pharmacists often spend more time performing supply chain roles than critical clinical ones. This leads to the question whether the training of pharmacists, particularly in Africa, should have a significant supply chain bias.
