Bertrand has served as a humanitarian and logistics consultant for the United Nations Population Fund in Bujumbura, Burundi. He has been a supply chain professional for 18 years and finds that the greatest reward of working in logistics is the opportunity to help colleagues, organizations, and clients. In his 18 years of experience, the largest challenges Bertrand has faced as a supply chain professional were the earthquake in Haiti in 2010 and the Burundian repatriation from Tanzania in 2012.

As a part of the IAPHL community, Bertrand finds the training, advice, and contributions of colleagues and the IAPHL website to be the most valuable assets of his membership. He says the network of other logistics professionals providing knowledge and shared experiences helps him in his daily work
